Circle PreTest and Solns PDF
- (1-46) all
- my solutions are attached to this PDF so many of the questions you might have while doing these problems over the weekend can be answered immediately without having to wait for me to answer them on Monday
- i HIGHLY suggest you guys start forming little "practice/study groups" as we progress through this last month of Geometry Honors
- you should do these problems several times this weekend
- the first time is your baseline (how you will perform on the actual test on Tuesday if you only do the pre-test once)
- the second time you do it, you should see an improvement in your score as well as an improvement in the amount of time it takes you to complete the pre test
- the third time is when you should begin feeling more confidence in your understanding of the material. you should be killing the pre test and getting at least a 90% on it
- use my solutions as a way of grading yourself.
- every question is worth 3 points
- give yourself partial credit if your answer is wrong by matching up lines of your work with my work (1 or 2 points depending on how much of your work matches my work)
- please TRY, and I mean REALLY EARNESTLY TRY, doing the problem before you just give up. You are an HONORS student. HONORS students don't just give up after a little bit of struggling. We PERSEVERE. We figure out a way. Giving up is NOT in our DNA...
- this is why it is a good idea to start forming "practice/study groups" as 4 heads collectively can usually come up with a solution much more frequently than 1 head
- please have questions READY TO GO on Monday
- don't forget to bring in your construction tools (yes, every test has a construction on it!)
- for this test, you should know how to locate the center of a circle by construction
Q. nth term
- the nth term quiz was given today
- if you missed it, it is YOUR responsibility to see me BEFORE class begins to make this up. once class begins, your opportunity to make this up ceases to exist
